Organisation and responsibilities
Who does the work at Orthic
Orthic is a founder-led company. Seven AI agents do our desk work on fixed shifts: research, drafting and regulatory monitoring. People make every call, send every message, set every price and deliver every engagement.

Purpose
This document shows who is responsible for what at Orthic. We wrote it the way a GMP quality system documents its own people: an organisation chart, then a written description of every role.
We use AI agents for research and drafting, and we want customers and investors to see exactly where they work and where they don't. Orthic helps Indian pharma manufacturers keep Schedule M corrective actions and their evidence in order. The same discipline applies to our own work.

Responsibilities
Every agent reports to the Founder & CEO and works under the controls in section 4. Shift times are India time.
Arjun Akshikar
Founder & CEOPerson- Leads every customer conversation, from the first call to an agreed scope.
- Sets prices from the published schedule and signs proposals and contracts.
- Runs Schedule M gap diagnostics and Sprints with the customer’s QA owner.
- Reviews every draft the agents produce before anything leaves Orthic.
Ledger
Chief of staffAI agent- Writes the Monday operating review: pipeline, overdue work and the week’s three priorities.
- Flags any conversation that has stalled for two weeks or more.
Scout
Research analystAI agent- Researches each new prospect from public sources: products, sites, certifications and public regulatory notices.
- Cites a source for every fact and lists what it could not confirm.
Quill
Outreach writerAI agent- Drafts short first emails with one clear ask, and at most one follow-up.
- A founder edits, sends or discards every draft.
Relay
Meeting preparationAI agent- Writes a one-page brief before each scheduled meeting: what we know, the questions to ask, and what not to claim.
Radar
Regulatory analystAI agent- Tracks CDSCO drug alerts, revised Schedule M enforcement news and state drug controller actions.
- Summarises what each item means for a QA head, with its source.
Compass
Prospect sourcingAI agent- Suggests manufacturers to approach, from public sources. A founder accepts or dismisses each suggestion.
Press
Content editorAI agent- Drafts a monthly brief for QA heads on patterns in CDSCO’s Not of Standard Quality alerts.
- Never names or singles out individual companies.
Controls on AI work
Agent work reaches the outside world by one route only.
Draft
An agent researches or drafts, and attaches the sources it opened.
Review
A founder reads it, edits it, discards it or sends it back for a rewrite.
Send
If it goes out, a founder sends it from their own account.
Our agents never:
- Send, post, email or call anyone
- Quote a price, promise an outcome or sign anything
- Make a quality or regulatory judgement for a customer
- Work inside a customer’s Orthic workspace
- State a fact without a source they opened
- Move a prospect’s stage or change our plan and numbers
Every shift ends with a written report: what the agent did, what it produced, and anything a founder has to decide.
